Samsung is expected to launch a whole host of devices during next week’s virtual Unpacked event. The list includes the Note20 series, the Tab S7 duo, a new Galaxy Watch 3, and more. Another much-anticipated device is the second-generation Fold, dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold2.

Details of the device have leaked extensively, with the most recent leak showing off the boot screen for the foldable device – which also confirmed the Z Fold2 naming. While an earlier leaked low-quality render showed off the large outer display, folks over at MySmartPrice have obtained high-quality press renders of the device that provides the clearest look yet at the upcoming foldable tablet.

The renders corroborate earlier reports and leaks about a large, near edge-to-edge front cover-display sporting a centered punch hole camera. The rear camera module resembles that of the Note20 series, housing a triple-camera array. On the inside, the right side of the screen houses another punch-hole camera, replacing the notch from the first-generation. The overall design looks impressive and the large front cover display is a welcome change over the much-criticized small screen of its predecessor.

The publication adds that the triple camera module will reportedly hold a 64MP sensor – likely for the telephoto lens – and two 12MP sensors, each for the main sensor and the ultra-wide-angle camera. Other reported specifications include a Snapdragon 865+ processor and up to 512GB internal storage. The cover display is expected to be a 6.23-inch unit, and the rear 7.7-inch display is said to have a 120Hz high refresh rate screen. Lastly, the Z Fold2 is expected to cost $1,980 – identical to its predecessor.

The wait should not be long since the device is just five days away from being revealed. It will be interesting to see what other features the South Korean company packs in its second-generation foldable tablet.
