Only a few hours after Microsoft announced what are the free games heading for Xbox Live Gold members next month, the company has pushed out the first wave of the Games with Gold program before we even cross into March.
For Xbox One owners arrive Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion while Xbox 360 players can grab Star Wars: Republic Commando. Also, the latter title is available to Xbox One owners to claim and play natively thanks to the backward compatibility program.
Xbox Live Gold members can use the store links listed below to claim the games directly, as they may not appear to be free on the consoles themselves right now:
Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion (Xbox One)
Ahoy! The Land of Ooo is underwater and it’s up to Finn and Jake to find out why. Join our heroes as they explore the high seas, search for hidden clues, interrogate shady suspects and fight pirates to solve the mystery and save their waterlogged world!
Star Wars: Republic Commando (Xbox 360, Xbox One)
Chaos has erupted throughout the galaxy. As leader of an elite squad of Republic Commandos, your mission is to infiltrate, dominate, and ultimately, annihilate the enemy.
Super Bomberman R from the previous Games with Gold promotion will be up for claim until March 15, with it slated to be replaced by EA"s Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2.
As usual, keep in mind that claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable even if the Gold subscription is discontinued. Any claimed Xbox One games, on the other hand, are only accessible with an active subscription.
