Games with Gold: Resident Evil Code Veronica X and Hover are now free

Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership holders can now add two more games to their console libraries thanks to Microsoft"s latest Games with Gold wave. The second injection of bonus titles for the month of October include Hover and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X.

Backward compatibility support is present in these classic titles. As such, Hover can be played on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S systems, while Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is up for grabs across the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S systems.

Use the links below to directly claim the games on to a Gold activated account:

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)

It has been 3 months since the destruction of Raccoon City. Claire Redfield travels to Europe in search of her brother. Claire infiltrates the Paris laboratory of Umbrella Corporation, but is captured after a heated gun fight. The captured Claire is then sent to Rockfort Island, but shortly after her arrival the island is attacked! Amidst the chaos, a horde of zombies are released! Can Claire escape the horrors of the island?

If anyone missed it, Aaero from the last Games with Gold wave is still available for claiming as well. This is slated to be replaced by the upcoming November titles of the promotion on October 31.

Keep in mind that the games claimed through the Games with Gold program are attached to accounts in different ways depending on their original platforms. Xbox 360 titles will continue being playable even after Xbox Live Gold is allowed to run out, but the service"s Xbox One games are only playable while the account has an active subscription.
