Over the years, touch controls have evolved to provide better control when playing games on mobile devices. While these controls are good, they are still no match when it comes to physical controllers that offer tactile feedback. Gamevice has been offering some excellent controllers for the iPad and iPhone and now they have been updated, making them even better and more convenient.
The Apple-approved controllers connect using the Lightning connector and offer a zero-latency experience for over 900 titles. The gamepad offers dual analog joysticks, a D-Pad, ABXY buttons, four triggers, and a pause button. Whereas previous Gamevice controllers charged via microUSB, the new models will now take a charge from a Lightning cable, making it more convenient by allowing you to charge the controller and the phone or tablet at the same time. The new controllers are also lighter and sport more ergonomic thumb sticks. Gamevice also takes the guess work out of finding compatible games by offering its "Gamevice Live" app that will aggregate all supported titles.
The new Gamevice for iPhone and iPad Mini will officially be available on January 31 while the controller for the iPad Air and Pro models will be available starting today. The Gamevice will cost $99.95 and be available from the Apple Store.
