- The beta for the upcoming first person shooter Resistance 3 will begin for people who purchased SOCOM 4 on August 4.
- Disney is rumored to be planning to acquire UTV, the parent company of Ignition and True Games, for $454 million.
- Red Dead Redemption owners will get to download the final DLC pack, Myths and Mavericks, sometime in September. Best of all, it"s free!
- People who pre-order the upcoming PC version of From Dust will get a free Mask of the Shaman hat to wear inside Team Fortress 2.
- In addition to Timesplitters 4, Crytek may be working on yet another unannounced shooter game.
- Doublesix, creators of the arcade shooter Burn Zombie Burn, are working on a sequel, All Zombies Must Die.
- People can now pre-order four copies of the upcoming downloadable action game Renegade Ops for the price of two.
- You can also pre-order Stronghold 3 and get a free downloadable copy of the original Stronghold game.
- Pre-orders for Tropico 4 will also net the gamer a free downloadable copy of Tropico Reloaded.
- New start up game developer New World Interactive has announced plans to release Lethal Enterprise, an upcoming free-to-play shooter that will use CryEngine 3.
- The Windows Phone 7 version of Angry Birds has now been updated with 90 new levels.
- Cave, the Japanese developer of a number of iPhone shooters, will now make a game for Windows Phone 7.
