Gaming news round-up: November 24

The US celebrates Thanksgiving on Thursday so expect gaming news, and indeed tech news in general, to be on the slow side for the rest of the week. We still found some nuggets of news to cover:

Batman Arkham City PC DirectX 11 issue - The just released PC version of the hit super hero action game has encountered some performance problems that are a result of an issue with the game"s DirectX 11 graphics. The game"s official message boards have posted a workaround to switch from DirectX 11 to DirectX 9 until a patch can be released.

No I Am Alive for PC owners - Ubisoft doesn"t plan to release the upcoming action-adventure game about an urban disaster for the PC platform because of Ubisoft"s belief that piracy won"t make the PC port worth it.

Test Drive Ferrari announced - New publisher Bigben Interactive has secured the Test Drive license and will release a new game in the racing series on March 30 in Europe for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms.

Call of Duty Elite now fully operational - The online service for Call of Duty players is now fully operational although the status page says the team is still working to fix some remaining issues. Also the first original video production for Call of Duty Elite, Friday Night Fights, will begin on Friday featuring a match between the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.

StarCraft II on sale at Blizzard"s store - The hit RTS game is getting a temporary price cut this Thanksgiving weekend from $59.99 to $29.99.
