This week PC gamers got the good news that Star Wars The Old Republic would be released in December. It also got bad news; Diablo III would be delayed until early 2012. But that"s not the only big news that hit the gaming community this past week:
- Bioshock developer Irrational Games revealed that they had worked on a now canceled game called Dungeon Duel, a fantasy RTS game.
- End of Nations, the free-to-play RTS game from developer Petroglyph and publisher Trion Worlds, has been delayed from this fall to 2012.
- The massive 2.0 patch for the recent PC RPG The Witcher 2, which adds a new tutorial mode and more, will be released via download on September 29.
- Paradox Interactive has announced plans to release Cartel, an upcoming tactical strategy game inspired by the original Syndicate.
- Sorry folks; Epic Games has confirmed that it is not working at the moment on any new Unreal or Unreal Tournament games.
- Rumors have started about a possible Dead Space 3 in the works.
- The PC version of Batman Arkham City has been delayed from October to November.
- The PS3 version of Assassin"s Creed Revelations will include the first Assassin"s Creed game for free.
- Orcs Must Die, the action-tower defense fantasy game from Robot Entertainment, will be released via download for Xbox 360 on October 5 and for PC on October 12.
- The Xbox 360 version of Rage will required three disks while the PS3 version of the first person shooter will require a hard drive install of 8 GB.
