Gigantic to finally hit Xbox One and PC next month after two years of (mostly) closed beta

It seems hard to believe that the closed beta for Gigantic, Motiga"s upcoming multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title kicked almost two years ago with its open beta having become available in December last year. Now, Motiga and Perfect World have finally announced the public release date for the game.

Slated to launch on July 20, Gigantic will become available to purchase on Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam with the open beta remaining in operation until that date at no charge. While the game will be free-to-play upon release, interested gamers will be able to pick up the "Founder"s Pack" for $29.99 which will include all 18 heroes, two forthcoming heroes, and more.

Q: How much will Gigantic cost?

A: Gigantic is a free-to-play game.

The announcement coincides with the final major update for the game prior to launch which adds the following features:

  • revamped user interface
  • new player experience with tutorials
  • bot matches
  • voice chat
  • fixes to address disconnection issues
  • hero voiceovers
  • one-time account copying

There are, however, still a number of outstanding issues affecting the game with corresponding workarounds and solutions, where available.

If you haven"t already given Gigantic a try, you can download it for free from the Windows Store and Xbox Store now.
