Gmail for iOS update lets you view emails from multiple accounts in a unified inbox

Back in March 2015, Gmail for Android added the ability to view emails from all your accounts in a single inbox, among other features. However, that feature has shunned users of the app"s iOS version for more than three years, forcing them to manage their emails by hopping between accounts.

That changes today with a new update to Gmail for iOS. That version now lets you check all your emails from multiple accounts in a unified inbox, courtesy of the "All Inboxes" view. To get started with the new feature, click on All Inboxes in the left-hand side menu to have all your emails appear on a single screen.

This applies to all email accounts added to Gmail for iOS app, whether it’s a work or personal account, G Suite or non-G Suite, and third-party IMAP accounts. Google noted that this won"t share your emails between your accounts.

The update comes a few months after Google announced a major update to Gmail earlier this year with the main goal of letting you handle your email without leaving the main inbox screen. The new feature is set to roll out in phases to all iOS users over the next few weeks.
