Yesterday, Google sent out invitations to a press event in New York City on October 15, where it will announce the new Pixel 4 series of smartphones. While we were already expecting it to come in black, white, and a new "Coral" color, the Mountain View company has confirmed that third option with an advertisement in Times Square, as spotted by a savvy Reddit user.
The latest news is just another in a long line of "leaks" that Google has published itself. In fact, the company revealed the design via a tweet back in June, and it also detailed how its Soli radar sensors will be used on the upcoming devices. And then there are the other leaks, such as that it might come with 6GB RAM and up to 8x camera zoom, not leaving much left to the imagination.
Aside from 6GB RAM, of course, the new handsets will be powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 855 chipset, and apparently, they"ll have larger bezels than their competition. Those bezels should be around a 90Hz display though, something that OnePlus pulled off in its 7 Pro.
The only surprises left would be software features, something that Google always focuses on, particularly with the camera. We"ll find out more on October 15.
