Google teased the Pixel 4a (5G) and the Pixel 5 alongside the Pixel 4a launch earlier this week. However, the company did not share any other details about the devices except for stating that they will be available later this year. Now, it looks like Google France might have accidentally revealed the launch date of the upcoming Pixel devices.
As spotted by a 9to5Google reader, the Pixel 4a launch announcement from Google France mentioned the pre-order date of the Pixel 4a (5G) and the Pixel 5 as October 8. The blog post was updated to remove the reference but a Google web cache can be found here which still mentions the original date.
Google tends to hold its Made by Google hardware events in October so it is entirely possible for the company to hold an event in the first week of October before it starts accepting pre-orders for the devices from the leaked date mentioned above. While that date might just change, it looks like Google will not be delaying the Pixel 5 launch due to the ongoing pandemic which delayed the Pixel 4a launch by a few months. Apart from the Pixels, Google could have other products for launch as well for its October event including an Android TV dongle.
Are you looking forward to the launch of the Pixel 4a (5G) and the Pixel 5?
