Google was quick to release a teaser video and photo of the Google Nest speaker after its first set of photos leaked late last week. Now, it looks like Google is getting ready to announce the Nest speaker early this week. The company"s Nest account on Twitter has posted a tweet pointing to "something special" coming this Monday, July 13.
The Nest speaker is going to be the successor to the original Google Home speaker that was released in 2016. It is unclear if this will be an official launch from Google or whether the company will only share some more details about its smart speaker.

From the leaked photos and the one shared by Google, the new Nest speaker seems to have an odd design language with a mesh fabric covering the entire front. The speaker will have four LEDs hidden at the front and from the teaser video, it presumably also seems to be portable in nature. As per the original report, the Google Nest will come with a bigger driver than the original Home which should translate into better sound quality.
