Google"s new Nexus 6 handset has been available for pre-order in the United States for a few weeks, but those in the UK can now join in on the action too. Major retailers and carriers are now accepting pre-orders for the massive Motorola-made device, and are even offering guidance on when to expect delivery.
Amazon UK is now listing the 32GB model in Midnight Blue for £499.99 off-contract, with deliveries expected to begin on December 15. Over at Carphone Warehouse, the same model is also available for £499 SIM-free, while the 64GB model is priced at £549, and delivery is scheduled for December 1.
Of course, not everyone can afford to splash out such large amounts on buying a handset off-contract, and the good news is that there are plenty of options available to buy the Nexus 6 on a two-year plan.
At Carphone Warehouse, for example, you can get the 32GB model on EE for £29.99 upfront, and then £43.99 a month, with 10GB of inclusive 4G data and unlimited minutes. You can also get the device at no upfront cost from Carphone Warehouse on Vodafone, with 600 minutes and 1GB of 4G data, for £34.50 a month.
There are lots more options available at various price points, including some from O2, so whether you"d prefer to pay less upfront for the device, or less per month and more right now, you should be available to find something that suits your requirements.
As Engadget reports, Vodafone is also giving away a Moto 360 smartwatch, worth £199, to the first 500 customers who order the Nexus 6 directly from the carrier, promising delivery by December 5. Curiously, however, pre-orders for the device still aren"t available from the UK"s Google Play Store.
