Google reduces the price on its $20 USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter

The upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will not have a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. While there is the option of using Bluetooth or USB Type-C headphones, you can still also continue using your standard equipment if you use the included USB Type-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter. Although this dongle might come included, there is always the chance you might lose, and when that happens, you"ll probably want to purchase another one.

If you opt for the Google-branded option, luckily, you won"t have to pay a huge some, as the firm has come to its senses and reduced the initial $20 price of the accessory down to a more acceptable $9. If that is still too much, you can always head to Amazon and pick up a third party unit for around $6. If you want to check out the Pixel 2 before its release in a few weeks, you"ll want to head to your local Verizon store, where the wireless carrier will have the phones available for an early hands-on.
