Google is expanding its same-day delivery shopping experience to two new cities. The Google Shopping Express service, which has been publicly available since the end of the last year for Bay Area residents, has now made its way to Manhattan and West Los Angeles shoppers.
Whether you need last minute groceries or a PlayStation 4, Google Shopping Express can pull from a wide variety of participating stores to source your items. One of the best features of the service is that you pay the same price for the item as if buying it in store and can have the purchases delivered same-day. Google Shopping Express items will vary depending on your area as each city will source items from nearby stores. Some of the merchants participating in the program include: Target, Costco, Guitar Center, Staples, and Walgreens.
Google plans to expand its Google Shopping Express service to deliver to other parts of Los Angeles and New York. Some of the cities for future expansion include: Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, West Hollywood, Queens and Brooklyn.
Currently, Google Shopping Express is offering six months of free deliveries. The program will charge $4.99 USD per delivery and will charge an additional $4.99 USD for each store visited. Google Shopping Express is available in Peninsula & San Jose, San Francisco, Manhattan, and West Los Angeles.
