In a recent move, Google has announced that it will be visiting some of the top universities in Pakistan for the first time starting next week. The maiden voyage will span across five major cities in the country, and will take place over a time period of nearly ten days. The company will be hosting sessions on web and app development as well as ad monetization using tools provided by Google for bloggers.
The first-of-its-kind tour to the country from Google includes visits to leading business, engineering, and Computer Sciences educational institutes. The company will be hosting seminars and training sessions for app and web developers, providing students with knowledge and technical expertise in their respective fields. Furthermore, Google will also be holding talks with bloggers in order to explain the advantages of the company"s tools and advertisement-based revenue services such as AdSense and AdMob.
Google will be visiting several top universities in Pakistan over the course of its visit which includes Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) and more. These educational institutes are situated in several major cities in Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Gujrat, and Topi.
Google executives who will be representing their company on this visit include Waqas Burney and Ahmad Nawaz, managers for web and app development respectively, as well as Strategic Online Partnerships in South Asia. Other speakers whose schedules are yet to be confirmed include Programs Specialists and University Recruiters Cymone Ding and Charlotte Park.
