Google wants you to sign into Office 365, Slack and Facebook at Work through its own service

Google is offering its business customers some extra support for signing in to apps securely with a user’s Google account. The platform now supports Microsoft’s Office 365 as well as Facebook at Work, Box, Slack and a bunch of other additions.

Businesses that use Google for Work can rely on the company’s security features to keep user login info safe when signing in to SaaS applications. Through its identity services, users can sign-on with their Google accounts into a large number of applications, thus essentially only using one single log-in and increasing security, and decreasing the risk of phishing attacks, data leakage or unauthorized access.

And as of today Google is expanding its offering and adding pre-configured support for Office 365, Facebook at Work, Slack and others to use this service. Perhaps these are the most important additions, in terms of platforms, seeing as many of them actively compete with Google and its business offerings.

However, Google can’t afford to ignore the services its customers are using, so we’re bound to see other additions to the list of supported cloud apps as we go further.
