Google's Daydream View and Chromecast Ultra can now be pre-ordered from the Google Store

Google"s Daydream View headset and its updated Chromecast Ultra are now available to order from the Google Store starting today. Both products were announced at Google’s hardware event on October 4 and are set to ship out to consumers in the next two to three weeks.

The Daydream View headset brings high quality mobile VR experiences to ‘Daydream-ready’ phones, which currently only includes Google"s recently released Pixel and the Pixel XL. Content for the device will come from the Daydream app, for which Google has already announced 30 game titles, as well as support for existing apps such as YouTube and the New York Times" VR app. The Daydream View controller will also be included in the package.

The Chromecast Ultra is an update to Google"s existing line of streaming devices and is physically similar to the older models. However, this updated version supports 4K (UHD) resolutions, High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology and runs on a more powerful processor than previous iterations. The power adapter notably features an Ethernet port, which gives users additional options over the integrated 802.11ac Wi-Fi support.

The Daydream View is available for $79 in the Slate color, though it is unclear when the previously announced Snow and Crimson versions will go on sale. The Chromecast Ultra retails for $69 and comes in black. Users who preordered a Pixel or Pixel XL device and received a code for a free Daydream View can also now redeem the offer.
