Google's latest Developer Preview update fixes the display and audio issues

It has been a couple months since Google introduced to the world its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Since that time, there has been a lot of drama surrounding the release, with both handsets being plagued with a number of issues. During the beginning of last month, it was reported that some owners of the Pixel 2 XL were having problems with the edges of their displays being unresponsive. Now, it looks like a fix is on the way.

According to folks on Reddit, the most recent Developer Preview seems to fix a lot of the issues with one of them being the unresponsive display. As noted, the new update seems to also fix the issue with audio being distorted when recording video. This is certainly good news for affected Pixel 2 XL users, but there is a catch.

As of right now, the update is only available in beta through the Developer Preview program. While this is accessible to all, it does requires some work by the user to get it done. Otherwise, if you aren"t into toying with your device, you"ll have to wait until Google releases the update to the general public.
