Google's Pixel XL shipments still six weeks out for new buyers

If you didn"t pre-order your Google Pixel or Pixel XL, chances are you"ve been waiting to get your hands on the handset like many others. To try and combat the wait times, Google has offered those interested an opportunity to be informed when a model returns to stock via a waitlist. Unfortunately, despite this system being in place, Google looks to be backed up, as shipping times have continued to increase.

If you are looking to purchase a 5-inch Pixel, Google can currently ship these in a matter of a few weeks. But, the more popular Pixel XL is currently seeing shipping times of up to six weeks for the 32GB model, with the 128GB version currently being "out of stock". For those looking to get the jump on the 128GB unit, you might want to sign up for the waitlist, but be forewarned, the email will only inform you when the handset is available for purchase and does not indicate that it will be currently available for shipment.

If you are looking for another solution, Verizon might be an option, as the carrier does offer the handset, and it is unlocked for use on any GSM carrier. However, it does not have all of the GSM bands like Google"s unlocked model which could leave you sacrificing 4G LTE data speeds depending on your carrier.
