Google has been rumored at least since March of this year to be working on a new streaming device powered by Android TV, codenamed "Sabrina". Now, two Google hardware devices have appeared on the Federal Communications Commission"s (FCC) website, possibly the Android TV dongle and its remote control.

The FCC filings were submitted by Google bearing the model numbers GZRNL and G9N9N (via 9to5Google). The filings describe the former as an "interactive media streaming device" with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while the latter is described as a "wireless device" featuring only a Bluetooth connectivity. 9to5Google speculates that GZRNL refers to the Android TV dongle and G9N9N to the accompanying remote for controlling the streaming device. Interestingly, the filings reveal that these devices are built in Thailand.

Previous reports suggested that “Sabrina” would run Android TV with a user interface driven by remote control, unlike Chromecast devices which are controlled via smartphones. It could also include support for Google Stadia. The dongle is supposed to succeed the Chromecast Ultra, although its release date remains unclear at this point. The more interesting details about these devices including images appear to be locked by the FCC"s confidentiality policy until January 2021, so it seems the dongle won"t be seeing the light of day until after that time at least.
