Every year there are a wide variety of games that arrive for consoles and PCs. With GDC soon to be underway and other shows like PAX and E3 arriving over the next few months, there are sure to be a staggering amount of stellar titles that will be shown to the public that will attempt to distinguish themselves from the pack. While not in anyway near in its official form, the folks at Lazy Bear Games, the creators of Punch Club, have now unveiled their latest title, Graveyard Keeper.
Graveyard Keeper has a unique premise in that it is a "medieval cemetery management sim". You take control of a character and face the challenges of creating a cemetery. While this all may sound quite simple, there are also moral challenges that await you.
- Face ethical dilemmas. Do you really want to spend money on that proper hotdog meat for the festival when you have so many resources lying around?
- Gather valuable loot & craft new items. Expand your Graveyard into a thriving business, go ahead and gather valuable resources scattered in the surrounding areas, and explore what this land has to offer.
- Make business alliances. These dead bodies don"t need all that blood, do they? Why not sell it to someone who can put it to good use. Same for body parts. Hey, it"s being efficient with recycling!
- Explore mysterious dungeons. No medieval game would be complete without these. Take a trip into the unknown and find useful new ingredients which may or may not poison a whole bunch of nearby villagers. Capitalism.
While the game won"t be available for purchase until the summer, you can sign up to take part in the alpha when it launches by heading to the Graveyard Keeper website.
