Last night, the countdown timer on the GTA IV website finished, and with it, displayed a trailer for the next generation version of Grand Theft Auto. The Rockstargames server ground to a halt as what must have been thousands scrambled to get a first glimpse of one of computer games most popular franchises.
The one minute long trailer / teaser gave a quick glimpse at what GTA IV"s city will look like. The trailer showed what appeared to be Liberty City, but obviously, in a much more in depth manner that we are accustomed to. The trailer looks to be set in modern times, and follows a Russian as he says "I"ve killed people, smuggled people, sold people. Perhaps here, things will be different".
The trailer can now be viewed reasonably well on the official website, with official high definition downloads available on the website too.
I personally didn"t know what to expect from a next-gen GTA, but I can safely say I"m pretty excited about it now. Just have to buy a machine capable of doing it before it"s released on the 16th October
