Guitar Hero coming to Android phones

Guitar Hero is one of the most popular music franchises in the world, and it is slowly getting expanded across as many devices as possible. From Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, down to Nintendo DS, Guitar Hero"s got it covered. And now, as The Guardian reports, it is now coming to Google"s Android phone OS.

T-Mobile announced the new game, which will be named Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile, to be the title that will kick off the new paid application service in the Android Market. The game itself will utilize the touch screen of the Android phones, and will initially feature 15 songs, including Black Sabbath"s "Paranoid" and "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns "n" Roses, but there will be a new song release every month.

There"s no word yet about pricing, but it has been revealed that there will be other games coming to Android, based on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Tetris, and Monopoly. Exciting news for Android"s Market, and will definitely kick it off to be a strong competitor to certain other mobile application distribution services. The question is, if Guitar Hero has already come to the Android market, why isn"t it already on Apple"s App Store?
