Avid fans of the Witcher game series have probably heard about "Gwent" before. It is a trading card game that can be played within The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It seems that the game has been popular among fans, so CD Projekt has decided to spin it off as a standalone game.

Gwent will feature both a single player campaign mode as well as a cross-platform multiplayer mode across PC and consoles, promising updated visuals and graphics.

The game will make its way to Xbox One and Windows 10 soon, however, players can already sign up for the closed beta version of Gwent which will begin this September. A PlayStation 4 launch will follow soon after.
