It is not the first time Halo 5: Guardians has shown up as coming to PC, but judging from a new banner set up on the Microsoft Store, we may have another hint at the title breaking through to the desktop realm.
In the new Microsoft Store page that outed the upcoming Xbox app for Windows 10, there is a banner on top of the page, seen above, that surrounds a screen with a keyboard and mouse, an Xbox Wireless controller, and a multitude of PC games. Eagle-eyed users may have already noticed that among all those is Halo 5: Guardians, the Xbox One exclusive that landed in 2015, which is also the only Halo game from the main series that hasn"t been confirmed for PC.
Of course, this isn"t confirmation of the shooter coming to PC, but with E3 so close and this being a page that was supposed to be unveiled during the Xbox showcase later today, an announcement during the show isn"t an impossibility.
Almost exactly a year ago, Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox page was updated to list Windows 10 as a platform. But Microsoft soon revealed this was a mistake and that it was not being "worked on at this time." During a recent AMA on Reddit with 343 Industries, the studio once again uttered "there are no current plans" for a Halo 5 PC version, so this banner could be just another blunder.
In any case, Halo Infinite and Halo: The Master Chief Collection should be making appearances at E3 today, both slated as coming to Windows 10 alongside Xbox One. Hopefully, PC players will get to experience the, soon to be, only missing Halo title on the platform at some point in the future.
