The second round of back-to-back weekend Halo Infinite beta testing plan of 343 Industries has resumed just as scheduled. This time, there are almost no restrictions on who can join the flight, at least for console players. When the PVP matchmaking starts on October 1, Big Team Battle will be one of the flavors being offered for the first time.
Halo Insider or not, all Xbox console owners can jump into this latest technical preview using the Xbox Insider Hub. Just install the app from the store, select "Halo Infinite – Insider" in the Previews section and begin installing. However, new PC players have a hoop to jump through, because a friend invite code, which every player from the previous Flight have now received, is needed. Those with a code can go here to redeem it and grab their Steam key.
Halo Insiders who got in during last weekend"s technical test can simply launch the same build again to join back.
Here"s when everyone can start playing in the 12 vs 12 Big Team Battle, 4 vs 4 Arena, and Bot Warm-up playlists with other players:
- Friday, October 1 at 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
- Saturday, October 2 at 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
- Sunday, October 3 at 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm PT
Just like last week, while the PVP sessions are only open during specific times each day, the Academy, training with bots, and customization options are available through the flight"s end on Monday. There is even an Emblem being offered for dedicated players who complete at least 10 matches during this preview.
Halo Infinite PC players should see a rather significant jump in performance over the last weekend"s test thanks to a couple of updates that have been delivered via Steam. Check out the known issues of this flight here.
