Halo Infinite short film details grappling hook development

Halo Infinite is an upcoming first-person shooter from 343 Industries that has been in development for many years. While we"ve seen a lot of multiplayer footage from the game, we haven"t really received many details about the campaign other than an overview trailer. Despite that, marketing is in full swing because the developer just dropped another video detailing one of Master Chief"s gadgets, that"s also available in multiplayer.

The video takes a lot of cues from Halo 3"s marketing because it focuses on deeply personal stories. It follows a scientist as she tries to invent a new tool for Spartans to use on the battlefield. You can watch the video below. A few weeks ago, 343 Industries released a similar short film about how a Marine acquired an alien energy shield.

The videos are world-building ahead of the game"s launch in a month. Keep in mind that Halo Infinite"s campaign is paid, but its multiplayer is free to play. However, there will be permanent Battle Passes that cost $10 every couple of months.

Halo Infinite will launch on December 8, 2021 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The campaign costs $59.99 on the Microsoft Store, but it"ll be a part of Xbox Game Pass at launch. Xbox Game Pass costs $10 a month on consoles and $5 a month on PC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bundles EA Play, Xbox Game Pass on both platforms, Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Cloud Gaming together for $15 a month.
