Halo is returning to the PC with The Master Chief Collection, starting with Halo: Reach sometime within the next few months. We have known this for a while now, but what remained unanswered was what it will cost. Microsoft answered that today, not at its Xbox E3 Briefing, but with a blog post.
Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 will each cost $9.99, while Halo 3: ODST, which will only release with a campaign, cost $4.99. In totality, this brings the cost to $54.94. However, all of these titles will also be coming to the Xbox Game Pass as they launch. Steam will carry the same pricing, as well.
It may be worth remembering that Halo: Reach will also be joining The MCC on Xbox One.
It will be possible to purchase any or all the titles at any time as they release. But, as 343 Industries said in its stream showcasing Halo: Reach on PC for the first time, there will also be a bundle to purchase at the end of it all containing all the games. It"s unclear how much that will cost, at the moment.
