Microsoft unveiled their all new Surface 2 table, which we revealed earlier this week. Microsoft then posted a promotional video of Surface 2 on Thursday, showcasing how easy the table is to use and interact with.
Neowin managed to get a hands-on demo of the Microsoft Surface 2 table. The 40-inch LCD screen displays in high definition, had a slim 4-inch profile; making the table very easy to mount on a wall or as a table. The Surface 2 OS runs ontop of Winows 7, which is powered by an AMD Athlon X2 245e 2.9Ghz CPU and AMD Radeon HD 6750 1GB GDDRS GPU., 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB 7200RPM HDD and has a 1:1000 contract ratio.
The Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface uses a new technology called PixelSense, that can track more than 50 points of contact; the only limitation to PixelSense is the amount of hands you can fit onto the screen.
Like the original Surface, you can place objects with barcodes or even recognized objects, such as a phone, drink, credit card or anything that has a unique shape on the table, launching a specific application, search query or a general display box.
Microsoft plans on expanding the Surface to developers in the very near future, creating unique and innovating applications for the interactive table.
