The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus may be one of the most anticipated devices to hit big red since the launch of the iPhone. That being said, if you want to read a complete review of the Galaxy Nexus, you can read that here or a complete review of Android 4.0, you can do that here.
So, what makes the Verizon iteration of the Galaxy Nexus different as opposed to the GSM variant? The biggest differences are that this model supports LTE vs HSPA+, which adds a little bit of extra thickness to the device (0.37 inches vs the HSPA+"s 0.35 inches) and it does add a little bit more weight as well (0.33 pounds vs 0.3) but other than that, the devices are nearly identical. As such, the original review linked to above holds true for all aspects of this model.
When equipped with LTE, you would expect incredible download speeds when compared to 3G. The Galaxy Nexus did not disappoint either with an average download speed of 15.24 Mbps and an average upload of 9.04 Mbps.
Other than the LTE additions, the device still feels incredible in your hands and is clearly a premium device from Google. Considering that this device will receive tier 1 support directly from Google, despite being thicker than the Droid Razr we reviewed, the Galaxy Nexus is the Android device to beat at the moment.
