Hands on with the first preview of the Fall Creators Update for the Xbox One

Yesterday, Microsoft finally announced what"s coming in the next major feature update for the Xbox One, which will coincide with the Fall Creators Update for Windows 10. Called the Fall update, the company released the first preview to Alpha ring Insiders later that day.

Most of the changes have to do with the way that the Home screen and the Guide are operated, along with the addition of Microsoft"s Fluent Design System. Users can now add "content blocks" to the Home screen that include games or friends; oddly, apps are not included in this functionality.

The Guide works differently now as well. You can now easily switch to different tabs just by toggling left or right.

Ultimately, the entire Dashboard has a new look and feel, and you"ll see the Fluent Design changes across the board. Check out our hands on video below:
