Earlier this week at its WWDC keynote, Apple showed off watchOS 7. It released a developer preview after the event; however, this is actually going to be the first time that a watchOS public beta is available. That"s coming in July.
watchOS 7 includes a bunch of new features, such as the long-awaited sleep tracking. Your Apple Watch will have a Sleep app, letting you mark your bedtime and time that you want to wake up. Obviously, you can customize it for different days of the week, and then you"ll be able to view different details about your sleep patterns. Your Apple Watch will also give you a warning if you go to sleep with less than 30% battery life.
There are also changes coming to watch faces. For one thing, they"re shareable now, including your configuration of them. There"s also support for third-party watch faces, which can even be downloaded from websites. Faces can now have more than one complication from one app, and there"s a new UI for configuring your watch face.
There are some other minor changes as well, such as more workouts in the Workouts app, cycling in Maps, and more. Check out the hands-on video below:
