The rumors about Nokia launching a 6-inch Windows Phone 8 smartphone sometime in September have been gaining steam in the past few days, including a new report that the official name for the device will be the Lumia 1520. Now the first image of what the phone may look like has allegedly been leaked on a website.
The site is WPCentral, which got the image from an unnamed tipster. The photo shows the rumored Lumia 1520 next to the latest Nokia smartphone, the Lumia 1020, and as you can see the screen on the 1020 is dwarfed by the huge display on the rumored 1520.
The image also shows what looks like an optional wrap around cover for the Lumia 1520 to cover its huge display. Otherwise, the phone, at least on the surface, appears to share the same kind of design for its case as its smaller Lumia brethren.
As we have reported before, the hardware specs on the rumored Lumia 1520 are supposed to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, support for a 1080p resolution display, and a 20 megapixel PureView rear camera. Nokia is expected to officially announce the phone, along with a possible Windows RT tablet, at a press event in New York City on September 26th.
