The award-winning action-adventure title Hellblade: Senua"s Sacrifice by Ninja Theory has received its promised PC enhancement update. The features delivered to the platform today mirror those that arrived to Xbox Series X|S in August, bringing in ray tracing, improved visuals, as well as some extras.
Ray traced reflections and shadows can now be experienced by PC players with capable hardware, and presets are included for fine tuning the intensity and performance impact. Just like on the consoles, texture resolution, particle quality, draw distance, and level of detail have all been improved as well.
To help with keeping frame rates steady with all the visual uplifts, Nvidia DLSS and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technologies have also been implemented.
Lastly, more accessibility options have been brought over. Players will find full controller remapping, subtitle customizations (color, size, and background), a mono audio option, and color blind settings in the game. In addition to PC, these helpful options are now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles as well.
The Xbox console and PC enhancements had been developed in partnership with QLOC, the studio that also worked on the Nintendo Switch port of the game, allowing Ninja Theory to continue its work on the upcoming highly anticipated sequel, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
