Numerous titles were showcased at the PC Gaming Show during E3 2018, including Overkill"s The Walking Dead, Star Control: Origins, and new content for Hunt: Showdown. However, that"s not all that was presented at the event, have a look at some of the other titles that were available at the PC Gaming Show 2018 below!
Rapture Rejects
This is a battle royale game based on the wacky characters from the Cyanide and Happiness comics. It offers a top-down isometric view, pitting 100 players against each other in a world that God has abandoned. The victor will be granted entry into heaven. The title promises the dark comedy characteristic of Cyanide and Happiness, as well as some interesting character customization. The Steam store page for Rapture Rejects promises a "2018-ish" release date on the PC.
Maneater
This is a Jaws-esque game from the developers of Killing Floor in which players can take control of a shark and wreak havoc everywhere. It is described as a single player "action RPG" where everything goes, and the only choice the player has is to kill or be killed. The title is slated for launch on PC, but does not have a firm release date yet.
Two Point Hospital
Two Point Hospital is an upcoming game by Two Point Studios in which players can build their own hospital, improve their staff, and cure the illnesses and diseases faced by the local populace. That said, it does not appear to offer a realistic simulation, and contains some wacky diseases. Furthermore, this is a spiritual successor to the classic Theme Hospital, which can only mean good things. That said, the title doesn"t have a release date as of yet.
Genesis Alpha One
This is a game that is a "revolutionary" mixture of roguelike shooter, base building, and survival, according to the developer Radiation Blue. As the captain of the Genesis interstellar spacecraft, players will be tasked to explore uncharted territories in a randomly-generated universe that has been destroyed by corrupt governments and wars. The title is slated for a release on September 4, 2018.
Sable
This game features the titular protagonist on an exploratory journey on which she will meet several characters and traverse different environments. The storyline is currently unclear, but we do know that it places a lot of emphasis on an ambient soundtrack and calming scenarios. Sable has a late 2019 launch date for PCs and consoles.
Neo Cab
This title offers a distinctive cyberpunk art style, and is described as an "emotional survival game with a strong narrative focus". Gamers play as Lina, one of the last human cab drivers who drives around an automated world, picking up passengers, and learning their stories. The game also promises a neo-noir mystery filled with random encounters. Neo Cab has a release date of February 5, 2019.
Night Call
Night Call is quite similar in premise to Neo Cab, such that the player is tasked with controlling a taxi driver who traverses the city, and tries to solve a murder mystery by talking and interacting with his passengers. The game is set in Paris and has distinct noire vibes to it, and is slated for a release in early 2019.
The Forgotten City
The Forgotten City is basically an extremely popular Skyrim mod that has been spun-off as an entirely separate game. The developer describes the story as follows:
Deep underground in an ancient Roman city, a fragmented community lays dead because someone broke a mysterious law. Within, a portal leads back into the past, allowing one person to change the fate of the city’s inhabitants—or witness their deaths in a time loop for eternity.
The game has a launch date of 2019.
Satisfactory
This is a game from the developer of the crazy Goat Simulator. That said, this title appears to have a more serious approach, and tasks players with controlling an engineer and building factories by scavenging resources. However, unlike other games in the base building genre, Satisfactory offers an unconventional first-person mode as well as combat. The title has an alpha planned soon, and if all goes well, it will be available later this year. You can find out more about it here.
