Although Elder Scrolls and Starfield were missing from Bethesda"s E3 2019 presentation, the company did have a couple of brand new games to announce during the show from two of its studios, kicking off new universes for fans to invest in.
First up is GhostWire: Tokyo, a brand new supernatural adventure game by the same studio who brought us The Evil Within series, Tango Gameworks. Not much information about the title was shared apart from the creepy cinematic trailer, seen above. Here"s how the trailer description goes:
After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before.
Don’t fear the unknown. Attack it.
Judging by the trailer and the studio behind the game, we can expect an action game with horror sprinkled in. There isn"t a release date or confirmed platforms yet.
Now we go on to catch DEATHLOOP, a brand new first-person shooter by the studio behind Dishonored games and the recent Prey, Arkane Lyon. See its cinematic trailer above.
There"s a bit more information about this game than GhostWire, but it"s still not much. Two assassins are somehow trapped on an island experiencing a timeloop, where one is trying to preserve it and the other is trying to stop it. It seems players will be taking the role of the assassin trying to stop the cycle, and the studio is advising players to "die, die again" until they succeed in doing so.
Once again there"s no platform announcements or a release date attached to the aptly named title.
