Here's how to sync the Cricket World Cup 2015 schedule to your Windows Phone calendar app

With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 just around the corner, pressure is building upon cricketing teams as well as their respective fans. In times like these, usually the first concern of cricket fans (who own a Windows Phone) is to have the entire World Cup schedule readily available on their fingertips. The preferable method to do this will be to integrate the schedule directly into your Windows Phone"s stock calendar app. Luckily, the process is also very simple.

In this write-up, we"ll explain two of the easiest methods to sync the World Cup timetable directly to your Windows Phone calendar.

Method 1:

  1. Download the .ics file from ESPN Cricinfo official website.
  2. Sign in to your outlook calendar through a browser.
  3. Click on the "import" button on the top left side of you calendar.
  4. Upload the .ics file.
  5. Go to your Windows Phone settings.
  6. Click on email+accounts> Microsoft account> Sync.

That"s it! Now you have the entire World Cup calendar directly on your Windows Phone, but if you would rather do the same process in a simpler and relatively easier way, method 2 has you covered.

Method 2:

  1. Download the World Cup 2015 Calendar Sync app ($0.99/ Free Trial) from your Windows Phone Store.
  2. Follow the instructions.
  3. When prompted, sign in to your Microsoft account and allow the app to access your calendar.
  4. Go to your Windows Phone settings.
  5. Click on email+accounts> Microsoft account> Sync.

  6. The calendar will be imported automatically with minimal effort from yourself.

Noticeably, the second method is much simpler than the former, but the downside is that it grants access to a third party app, which has its own risks. So we suggest you to try out the first method yourself, if you are unable to synchronize the schedule to your calendar using this process, only then use the second method.
