Earlier today, Microsoft released a brand-new firmware update for the Surface Pro 3. Unsurprisingly, there was no changelog available at the time; however, the company seems to be improving its time to publish one, as it"s now available.
Here"s what"s new:
Windows Update History Name | Device Manager Name |
---|---|
Intel Corporation – Display – 20.19.15.4568 | Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Intel(R) Display Audio
|
Microsoft - System Firmware update | Surface Pro UEFI
|
The company also added a "value indicator" table, which presumably is to show the areas on which the update improves.
Value Indicator | Score |
---|---|
Security | + |
Reliability | + |
Connectivity | NA |
Compatibility | NA |
Performance | + |
Battery Life | NA |
One thing to note about this update is that it"s only for devices that are running Windows 10. If you"re still using Windows 8.1 on your Surface Pro 3, you won"t see anything that"s new.
If you are on Windows 10, you can grab the update through Windows Update, as usual, by heading to Settings -> Update & security -> Windows Update.
