Hitman June content schedule revealed amidst developer woes

Although Square Enix announced last month that the Hitman developer, IO Interactive was being sold, it"s business as usual at the studio it seems. A new blog post has unveiled the June content schedule for Hitman. Quite a significant amount of content is in store for players, with new Escalation Contracts, a new Elusive Target, a game update, and more planned to land before the month is out.

The developer said the June content would be made available for players in a staggered schedule, with the first drop arriving on June 2. This will include two new Escalation Contracts with them consisting of "The Spaggiari Subversion" on the Sapienza (Landslide) bonus mission, and "The Asya Attunement" in Bangkok.

Next, arriving alongside the Escalation Contracts are ten new Featured Contracts created by community members, with the developer selecting the most impressive ones to include within the update.

The second half of June will see the entrance of Elusive Target #25, which the developer calls the penultimate one, and will arrive in Hokkaido. The developer promises more information about the upcoming Elusive Target and the aforementioned game update nearer to their release dates.

In Square Enix"s recent financial results briefing, the publisher expressed interest in letting the Hitman series carry on, but whether it will be under IO Interactive or with another developer is currently unknown.
