It was during the summer when Google officially released its latest version of its Android OS, Android 9.0 Pie. Since that time, devices have slowly received the update either in alpha, beta or its final form. Now, the update is finally arriving in an official capacity to the Nokia 6.1.

The news comes from Juho Sarvikas, who is the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global. As you might expect, the Nokia 6.1 will gain many new features with the update, like Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, and more. Users will also be able to navigate using the new gestures, and will also gain some enhanced features for the camera with Google Lens integration.

Those that are conscientious about time spent on their devices will be happy to know that Android 9.0 Pie also offers a Dashboard that can show you how much time you are spending on your device and what apps are being used. If you own a Nokia 6.1, be sure to head to the settings menu to check for the update. So far, HMD Global is one of a select few when it comes to making good on its promise of keeping its devices up to date.
