After a short wait and plenty of rumors, Honor has finally debuted its latest handset, the Honor 7X.
As you can see from the image, the handset is a stunning device that utilizes premium materials and has thin bezels around the display, while sporting dual cameras in the rear. As for the specifications, the smartphone offers a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display coming in with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160x1080. The handset will be driven by Huawei"s Kirin 659 processor and will have 4GB of RAM. As far as storage goes, customers will have the option of either 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB with room to expand via a microSD card slot.
As mentioned before, the Honor 7X has a dual camera setup on the rear that hosts a 16MP and 2MP sensor with an 8MP camera on the front. As far as power goes, it will rely on a 3,340mAh battery, which should be enough for a whole day. If not, you"ll be able to top up in an expedited manner with Huawei"s SuperCharge feature.
Those that want a bit of protection will be happy to know that the phone does have an IP67 rating that will allow it to withstand a little dust and water. Although Google has released its latest OS with Android 8.0 Oreo, the Honor 7X comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Overall, this handset is quite an improvement from last year"s Honor 6X, and like its predecessor, still provides an excellent value due to its price. The phone will come in three colors options: Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, and Platinum Gold, and will be priced starting at 1,299 yuan or around $200 USD for the 32GB model, while the 64 GB variant will be priced at 1,699 yuan which is around $260 USD. Pre-orders for the Honor 7X will start on October 17. For now, this will be available only in China, but if the past is any indication, Honor will most likely offer this to other regions at a later date.
