While Huawei"s Honor brand put emphasis on its latest phablet the Note 8, they also unveiled a low-end handset in the form of the Honor 5 Play.
The ¥599 CYN or roughly $90 USD handset offers a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB RAM and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor. The smartphone also offers an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera with flash, 16GB of storage and will be dual SIM capable. The Play 5 will arrive in four different colors: black, white, silver and gold.
Like Huawei"s other offerings, the handset will arrive in China first and could branch out to other markets later. For the time being, those that are interested in the handset and located in other regions will have to purchase the smartphone through third party retailers.
