Today Huawei"s sub-brand introduced a duo of 5G smartphones, one from the X10 family of smartphones, the Honor X10 Max 5G, and another from the Honor 30 series, the Honor 30 Youth Edition. Both new devices are going to launch in China initially. Alongside the new smartphones, Honor also introduced a new color option for the pre-existing X10, a burnt shade of orange.
Moving on to specs, the Honor X10 Max will come equipped with a 7.09-inch LCD display, a 5000 mAh battery, 22.5W charging, and NFC. The X10 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G SoC and run MagicUI 3.1 based on Android 10 out the box. As for the camera, the phone has an 8MP front camera and a 48MP main camera on the rear coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. It will be available in three shades: black, blue, and an opalescent white.
The Honor 30 Youth Edition (also called the Honor 30 Lite) will sport a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch response rate, a 4000 mAh battery, and 22.5W fast charging. Honor"s newest entrant to the 30 series will also be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G SoC and run MagicUI 3.1 based on Android 10 out the box. The Youth Edition will feature a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie snapper on the front.
Coming to the pricing details, the Honor X10 Max will cost ¥1899 (~$268) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory variant, ¥2099 (~$297) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option, and ¥2499 (~$353) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage space version.
Meanwhile, the Honor 30 Youth Edition is priced at ¥1699 (~$240) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option, ¥1899 (~$268) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage space coupling, and ¥2199 (~$311) for the 8GB RAM and128GB internal memory variant. Pre-orders are now open and can be made through the official Honor website.
The Honor X10 Max is scheduled to launch on July 3 while the Honor 30 Youth Edition will be available for purchase from July 8 onwards. Both smartphones will release in China first. Global releases for either of the 5G duo are yet to be confirmed by the Chinese smartphone brand.
