HP announces new Envy laptops for creators with Intel 11th-gen and AMD Ryzen 5000

Today, HP is announcing a new Envy x360 15 convertible and an Envy 17 laptop, both of which are aimed at creators, with HP also highlighting sustainable materials. They"re made from recycled aluminum, and they use post-consumer recycled and ocean-bound plastics. The packaging uses wood fiber from recycled materials, and no longer includes single-use plastic of any kind.

The Envy x360 15, which is obviously a convertible, comes with either Intel 11th-generation processors or AMD Ryzen 5000 U-series processors, and you"ll get a choice of Natural Silver or Nightfall Black colors. On top of the latest CPUs, you can also get it with Nvidia"s GeForce MX450 GPU. As for the display, it comes with up to a 4K OLED panel.

The Envy 17 is described as a mobile creative powerhouse, but it seems to have the same internals as the Intel flavor of the Envy x360 15, packing up to a Core i7-1165G7 and an Nvidia GeForce MX450. One big difference aside from a larger display is that the 17.3-inch screen comes in a 4K option, but it"s not OLED, simply because there are no 17.3-inch 16:9 OLED displays.

They come with HP Display Control for optimizing the screen for various use cases, so you"ll actually get accurate colors when editing photos and videos. HP also said that on both laptops, it went for up to a 19% larger touchpad, which is frankly good for everyone.
