HP has been busy with product launches for the general consumer, but today the company is taking aim at the education market with a new range of products. This includes the new ProBook x360 11 G3 and G4 EE convertibles as well as the new Stream 11 Pro G5 laptop, all of which offer relatively low-end internals.
The ProBook x360 11 G3 comes with your choice of Intel Celeron or Pentium processor, an 11.6-inch display and 8GB of RAM. Storage configurations start with a 64GB of eMMC storage and go up to 128GB or 256GB SSDs. The G4, slated for the spring of 2019, offers more powerful Intel Core m3 or i5 processors, but the remaining specs are the same. The 64GB eMMC storage option isn"t available on the G4. Both of the devices promise to be durable with a rubber finish for shock absorption and a spill-resistant keyboard. Both devices should last up to 16 hours on a charge.
Meanwhile, the Stream 11 Pro G5 is a more conventional laptop, ditching the 360-degree hinge for one that opens up to 180 degrees to lay completely flat. It"s a pretty sturdy device, coming with MIL-STD 810G and IP41 certification, and it should be able to endure drops from up to two feet.
It includes an 11.6-inch display as well, which comes in both touch and non-touch variants. As for the internals, it"s powered by an Intel Celeron or Pentium processor, 8GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC for storage. Battery life for the Stream 11 will go up to 12 hours.
Rounding out the announcements, there"s a new version of the HP School Pack, which includes a set of tools to make things a little easier in the classroom. Here"s what"s new in version 3.5 of the HP School Pack:
HP Classroom Manager 4.0 helps keep students focused and engaged, reduce digital distractions and increase instruction time.
