At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, HP has unveiled a new Windows 10 2-in-1 device in the form of the HP Pro x2 612 G2, which is a premium tablet with a 12-inch Full HD display aimed at professionals in the enterprise sector.
With the detachable Pro x2 612 G2, HP has touted versatility and productivity. Together with Windows Ink, the company has stated that the touchscreen is perfect for drawing and marking up webpages on Microsoft Edge. The device itself also features several modes including presentation, inking, and notebook, for enhanced productivity.
The Pro x2 sports a "Collaboration Keyboard" with backlit hot keys and magnetic connections. The company has also stated that the device has a removable back cover and a removable SSD, which allows users to secure data on-site and make upgrades and repairs to the Pro x2.
In terms of hardware, the Windows 10 2-in-1 device also comes in a variety of CPU configurations, including 7th-gen Intel Core i7, i5, M, and Pentium processors. The integrated kickstand can be slanted up to 165 degrees. The Pro x2 also comes with the HP Active Wacom Pen, which allows for more precise input in drawings and presentations.
HP has boasted that the Pro x2 features a non-removable battery that be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes - while the device offers in total up to 11 hours of battery life. Other features include USB-C and USB-A ports, up to 512GB of SSD storage, 5MP front-facing and 8MP rear cameras, and a slot for a microSD card.
The HP Pro x2 612 G2 is available right now and can be ordered from HP"s website for $1734.
