HP announces new Z workstations and mobile workstations

ZBook Fury G7

Today ahead of IFA 2020, HP is announcing a refresh of its Z workstation lineup. Being refreshed today is the ZBook Fury 15 G7, the ZBook Fury 17 G7, ZBook Power G7, Z2 Mini G5, Z2 Small Form Factor G5, and Z2 Tower G5. There"s also a new ZCentral 4R workstation for more power and more expandability. With ZCentral Remote Boost, employees can work from home while still getting the performance they need. ZCentral is a full remote workstation solution.

Z2 Mini G5

The Z2 Mini is something that can easily be mounted the back of a monitor, all without sacrificing power. It comes with a full desktop processor from the Intel Xeon W or the Comet Lake S family, and you can get it with up to Nvidia Quadro T1000 graphics.

Z2 SFF G5

Of course, it comes in Small Form Factor and Tower flavors as well, and the bigger you go, the more power you can get. You can get it with Intel Xeon W or Comet Lake S, but the graphics on the Tower go up to a Quadro RTX 6000 with 24GB GDDR6. For the SFF flavor, you can get up to a Quadro RTX 3000 with 6GB GDDR6.

ZBook Power

The ZBook Power is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation that promises to be the "affordable beast", also coming in at 19% smaller than the previous generation. The ZBook Fury 15, on the other hand, is actually 12% smaller than its predecessor, while the ZBook Fury 17 is 29% smaller. Naturally, these come with a choice of Xeon or Comet Lake H processors, and Nvidia Quadro graphics.

They also come with PANTONE Validated displays, with 100% DCI-P3 and HDR 400. For battery life, HP is promising 2.5 times as much as previous generations.

The ZCentral 4R is coming on October 19. As for everything else, the Z2 Mini is available today, the Z2 SFF and Tower will be available on September 28, the ZBook Fury will be available September 14, and the ZBook Power is coming on October 5.
