HP Envy 14 unboxing and first impressions

HP"s new Envy 14 was its only consumer PC announcement at CES this year. The new PC"s claim to fame is that it"s jumping on a trend that we"re seeing more and more across the industry: it has a 16:10 display. Indeed, the 14-inch 16:10 display is 11% taller than a 16:9 display, and since screens are measured diagonally, the different aspect ratio means that the screen has a larger surface area.

And not just is the screen bigger, but it"s better. The 1920x1200 display comes with Delta E

The Envy 14 has the internals for creators too. The unit that HP sent me has a Core i5-1135G7, so it has Iris Xe graphics, but it also comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. All of that comes with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,249.99, which is pretty impressive.
