HP launches "world's thinnest laptop", Spectre, in India priced from Rs.119,990 ($1,800)

In early April, HP unveiled the Spectre, calling it "the world"s thinnest laptop", at just 10.4mm-thick, and weighing in at only 1.1kg. The device is certainly distinctive, with carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer and machined aluminum, and a matte dark grey design, highlighted with glossy copper accents.

Today, HP announced the launch of the Spectre in India - and as in other markets, it has a price tag to match its premium design.

The Spectre will be priced from Rs.119,990 INR (just under $1,800 USD) in India, and its key specs include:

  • 13.3-inch WLED-backlit IPS LCD with Full HD (1920x1080px) resolution and edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass 4
  • Sixth-generation ("Skylake") Intel Core i5 or i7 processors
  • 8GB RAM
  • 256GB or 512GB SSD
  • Wi-Fi 802.11ac
  • Bluetooth 4.2
  • 3 x USB 3.1 Type-C ports (2 x Thunderbolt-enabled)
  • Backlit keyboard and glass trackpad
  • Dual speakers with Bang & Olufsen audio enhancements
  • Up to 9hr battery life

The Spectre will go on sale in India from July 29, but in the meantime, you can get a further overview of the device in the video below:
